So, I just got to the studio && i can finally play a around on the computer and make some new posts on this blog that i never really get a chance to update. I am all DONE with finals...omg. This has been a hella stressful week. Not because i've been trippin about passin my tests but because i've had like a million and one projects. That's like all FIDM is about. projects projects projects. BIGGGGG Projects. lol. anywhooo...happy to have that weight lifted. I'm sure all the girls are ecstatic. Not only because we can take the time out to get dressed, wear make-up, do our hair, nails, eyebrows, and all those things we haven't had the time do. We can also go back to our hometowns and be with our family, friends && significant others. Part of that doesn't apply to me since im from Los Angeles but i do get to go back to the Chi && the Indy to be with my peoples. I can't wait yo! Here i come Chicagoooo!!!

Yah! So once again i been M.I.A for a coo min, but i love how everyone hits me up on AIM, Facebook nd Twitter checkin for me. I'm good yall!

I recently got some major stress taken off my hands. Yessshhh! I finished my fashion show. It went verrryyy well. My inspiration this time around was "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix. I got in this whole hippie mode and decided to do a hippie line i call "Haute Hippie."

Well, what i really think is that its kinda weird that all of a sudden Cassie wants to get bold and take a risk. I mean it's kinda blunt. I've always loved this on other people but for some reason i don't like it on her. I absolutely love Cassie and her music but i'm not feeling this just yet. Something about it just is'nt right...too half half? I dont know but i think she would look super dope if she shaved the other side and went Amber Rose style. I mean, she does have the pretty face for it.

I woke up Saturday morning to a reminder on my iPhone saying that it was the last day for the Kaws exibit at the Honor Fraser Gallery. So I got up, threw something on and just headed over there by myself.

It was pretty dope but i won't lie, I expected more...

Okay, so put yourself in my shoes. If you go out on a date with a guy and he decides he wants to take you to dinner and you can have whatever you like, how would you order? Me personally, im not shy when it come to food. Im not the type of chick to order a salad and water with lemon. No, im bouta get the steak with french fries ketchup, bbq, and A1 on the side with a sugar coat on the rim of my strawberry lemonade. Anyway, he got a medium deep dish pepperoni pizza to share. Thats cool and all but not good enough for me so i also ordered the Parmesean Crusted Chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed brocolli. Not only did i eat two slices of his pizza but i also finished my own plate. After that the lady comes by with the dessert menu and asks if we like to see it. I say, "yeah," cuz im down for a pizookie but he says no because ive already eaten enough. So im thinkin, "didnt you say i could have whatever i like?" But i end up goin along with it and it's "cop an attitude" time. So ya...should i continue to kill plates or slow myself down?

FIDM Debut '09 Fashion Show

Just a lil somthin somthin to show you what i've been getting into during my hiatus.

Izzy and I went to the Annual Debut Fashion show that my school, FIDM, has every year. When i say, "my school," i mean the school i will be attending next year. I like to claim FIDM more than where i currently am. smh.

Anyway, the show was pretty dope. It was held at the Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport. Same place that they hold the Barney's New York Sales and the Macy's Passport Fashion Show which are also pretty dope when they come around.

Aside from the show being all about the students who show the lines they've been working on all year, the show's theme was all about Barbie! I love barbie so much and the show celebrated the 50th anniversary of the icon. Izzy and I were in love with it!

Nick Verreos from Project Runway Season 2 was the Host. I met him before at my open house last year and I absolutely la la love him. He's flamboyant, hillarious, and full of energy. I'm not sure what class he teaches but it would be sooo dope if i bagged him as one of mine.

I was told of the news last year before it was filmed, but couldn't blog about it because it was on the QT and totally hush hush, buttt...the new season of Project Runway has been filmed at the Downtown Los Angeles Campus of FIDM!!! My Campus! Too badd i wasnt there this year to see 'em running around but next year i'll be there fer sure! I don't know if it has anything to do with Tim Gunn leaving Parsons but yea! Let's Go!

They showed Project Runway Season 5 Winner Leanne's line and it was amazinggg! I still la la loveee my boy Jerell Scott but her stuff was rockin!

My mentors, old friend and classmate from FIDM was there. Fashion designer Kevan Hall. It was soooo cool to finally meet him! Everyone was swarming him for pictures so i didnt get to talk to him about things like i wasnted to. I sure we'll meet again...personally.

After the show was over Izzy and I seen hella people we knew but didnt stick around...we dipped to the parkinglot son! Of course we had to take all kinds of pictures before hopping in the ride. =]

Fun night!!! Plan on hitting the KAWS exhibit with her next so stay tuned. =]

Lol, jay kay! I'm just uber happy to be back on here posting. I really missed this thing-a-ma-jig. ya dig? lol. Did ya miss me too? =] At least ONE person...right? I sure hope so!

So yea! I've basically been in the process of relocating myself to the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles. This is a very exciting move for me personally in so many ways. Mostly very corny reasons, but hey any type of reason is a reason right? I mean, the valley just was NOT doing it for me anymore. I never could get into the whole valley-girl thing and the people out there are "different" to say the least. I am and have always been a L.A. girl at heart so now i'm where i belong! Well at least for a year. =]

Strangely enough, I enjoyed packing up all of my stuff...it was a peice of cake! Especially because I didnt have to carry any boxes or even break a sweat. I pretty much lounged around like a bum most of the time. As you can see here...

This is the guy who did most of the hard work though...

lol. Patric, ily bro! What would i do without you sometimes. Your sucha good friend! Thanks again for all the help! =]

Any-who...I smell something getting fried in the kitchen and its making me hungry, so really quick...is thee new blog, "UrbanxBarbie." You like?
